Only the truth of who you are,

if realized, will set you free.

Naveed Faizi

Psychotherapist | Counsellor

Life often throws challenges, both external and internal, which can result in us feeling overwhelmed. The decision to seek therapy is a courageous first step on the journey to initiate change.

In my personal experience therapy can be a turning point in life, bringing about self-awareness and understanding which promotes personal growth and development. Therapy can provide you a space to better understand yourself and make sense of your own history, behaviour, and sense of being.

About Me

As an integrative psychotherapist my goal is to help you live a more fulfilling and positive life. I strive to help my clients understand themselves better and equip them with resources to manage difficult thoughts and feelings.

Being a mother and raising children has made me acutely aware aware of my keen interest in the emotional and psychological aspect of life. My background in fitness has also given me an appreciation of the interconnectivity between body and mind in supporting overall well-being.

I come from a multi-lingual and multi-cultural background and have travelled extensively. I celebrate difference and have had the privilege of working with clients from all walks of life. Therefore, in my work I do not just draw on my counselling skills, but also my valuable life experiences.

It is understandable that each of my clients will bring their own experiences and concerns. Together we develop a working relationship that validates their history, while responding to their present needs.

In my experience I have worked with clients with trauma, depression, anxiety and post-traumatic stress disorder. Also, those who have suffered from childhood traumas which result in low self-esteem and low self-acceptance and are searching for a connection with their true self.

My interest lies in exploring the interplay of cultural heritage, beliefs and its impact on the individual within a multicultural Western society. Having the personal experience of embracing two unique cultures, I have a deep understanding of working with cross-cultural differences. My fluency in English, Urdu, Hindi, and Punjabi allows me to communicate with a diverse range of clients.

My Approach

Our lives are unpredictable and we are sometimes up against issues that we struggle to fix on our own. Psychotherapy is a recognised method to turn to, which proves to be a powerful and transformative experience. I believe that therapy is not to diagnose and fix something externally, but to listen to and explore what is going on internally within you.  When we are surrounded by the right environment we can grow to reach our full potential in life.

An integrative approach is tailored around each individual client. I believe that people are diverse and therefore I consider my clients to be experts in their own lives. So together we draw on both traditional and modern techniques towards understanding and bringing long-lasting improvements to every aspect of your wellbeing- mental, physical, emotional and relational.

My approach enables my clients to explore the patterns of relating to their world and to understand how this affects their own sense of self. Early attachment with our caregivers shapes the way we identify with our present world. A strong therapeutic relationship where you feel safe, heard, understood without the fear of judgement and can initiate the journey towards change.

Initial Meeting

It is my responsibility to make my client feel safe and comfortable.

In our first session we can explore your reasons for coming to see me and your expectations. I will ask you a few questions about yourself in order to understand who you are. You will also have the opportunity to ask me questions about the therapy I offer and how I work.

If we decide to work together, we will discuss and agree on how to proceed.
